30 June 2023
To follow up of the recommendations made from the 30th of May to the 1st of June 2022 during their last visit, and to inquire about the level of progression of major projects underway at the Port Authority of Kribi, was the purpose of the mission of a delegation of APN executives led by the Director of Studies, Prospective, Port Development and Digital Mr. Simon Pierre EDIBA, the head of delegation. He was received in audience for the occasion, by Mr. Patrice MELOM, General Manager of the Port Authority of Kribi. The tour of the port's various construction sites, terminals and other sites revealed the presence of agro-industries, cement factories, machinery assembly lines, warehouses, timber yards and other facilities, undeniable proof of the gradual installation of investors in the port's industrial zone. The final step of this visit was a tour of the deep-water seaport and the highway under construction. In view of all this, the rate of completion of the projects has been estimated at almost 45%. It is clear that progress on major projects at the Kribi Port Authority is satisfactory. A working session with the PAK's officials and Heads of Departments to obtain additional information rounded off the five-day mission, which was also an opportunity for this young and dynamic staff of the PAK to immerse themselves in the realities of the port sector's activities.
